What's your fricking point?

Why was it changed to stars and bars 30 years after the end of the war?
Seldom does JJDoc actually HAVE a point, and when he tries to have one, it is usually wrong:

He says that the Battle Flag pre-dates the Confederacy. No. It was designed by PT Beauregard DURING the Civil War.

He says that the Bonnie Blue Flag was the state flag of Mississippi during the Confederacy. No. It was briefly adopted again (it was formerly the national flag of West Florida) after Secession and BEFORE joining the Confederacy. The first version of the Magnolia Flag was adopted before Mississippi joined the Confederacy, and the Magnolia Flag was the official flag during the entire War and some version of it remained the official flag for 30 years thereafter.
