As has been stated, from a $$ standpoint, he was worth it. I tried to make this case about why the Braves should have given him whatever he wanted.
From a baseball/winning today standpoint:
Bryce (11.5 mil followed by a bunch of years of 27 mil): .220/.368/.433; 0.4 WAR; 7 HR, 25 RBI
Markakis (4 mil + 2 mil buyout for next year with 2 studs ready to join Acuna in the OF): .293/.388/.453; 1.4 WAR; 4 HR, 23 RBI

It's crazy when you think about it. Guy is absolutely loaded with just a GED and one year of community college under his belt.

Yea he puts people in the seats, but there have to be guys who put BITS and can play baseball too
