Used ATV purchase question - Bill of Sale

OB,
I have a used ATV I’m interested in. It’s an older model that would not come with a title. The owner will do notorized bill of sale. Any reason to be concerned with not having a title. The bike is 10 years old.

My 1999 atv has a title. If BOS only it is hot, someone lost the title, or was purchased out of state and sales tax has never been paid (would have gotten the title then).

Think youd only have an issue on WMA. Someone will correct me if im wrong but I was recently told that on WMA the bike has to be registered and have a tag

I bought mine out of state and never titled it due to taxes. I pay enough already

If the guy is the original owner he could get a duplicate title for about $56 if my memory serves me right. Side note, manufactures are not required to make parts for bikes over ten years old. Honda is good about still having them, not all are though. I’d think about that.
