i guess i just find it interesting how people are saying the show has become so predictable didn't predict the arya scene from last night.

instead, they were likely predicting a jon snow battle with TNK, which would have been fan servicing a bit

so there's lot of consternation about a pivotal scene that happened that didn't fit what they wanted to happen.

But that wouldn't just be a bit of fan servicing. That would be a absolute ton of fan servicing.

What did people expect? Jon, the lost son of Rhaegar Targaryen, to stab that wight dragon in the heart, and then fight his way through the undead and all the white walkers to fight the Night King in a 1-on-1 battle for the fate of mankind?

Yeah, that's not a basket full of tropes.

Largely because there were shitloads of prophesies and foreshadowing that either Jon or Dany kills him. I never remotely considered anyone else would kill him.
