The spiteful facet of LSU fandom is kind of disturbing

I hope that the spiteful element of the LSU fanbase is simply a vocal minority.
But, there were posters here clearly hoping Greedy would bomb in the draft because he elected not to play in the bowl game. Had Greedy gone in the first round, it would have been a plus for recruiting.
There is a thread now on the Rant that was clearly set up to start a Miles trashing thread. He's been gone three years now. It also seems like some here haven't figured out that you can like both Coach Miles and Coach Orgeron.
There were even some shots take at Cole Tracy. BTW, I'm not talking about criticism where the poster adds "but I wish him the best of luck and hope he gets into the NFL."
And, since I know someone will bring it up, I don't secretly hope for Wade's demise. LSU basketball's future depends on Wade's ability to survive the "scandal" and get on with coaching the Tigers. If Wade crashes and burns, so will LSU basketball.

I'm not sure how anyone can like Miles....he is a bonafide idiot and his recruiting philosophy took a steaming dump all over our offensive line.
O is growing on me though....he can help his cause immensely this season.

seriously?

I agree. It’s like posters taking any and every opportunity to take shots at Will Wade. Even saying he gets no credit for the post season wins although it’s common knowledge he’s the one who was giving the coaches the game plan. Posters going out of their way to negate anything positive about his role in the teams success.
It’s sad.

Kind of like how you were clearly hoping Wade would fail in basketball?

What an absolutely ignorant thing to say. You sound like a bonafide idiot.
ETA: Personally, I liked his philosophy of “recruit better than anyone ever has at LSU”

They are ignorant about many things they have strong opinions.
-he hired his best friend as his agent...disproven
-look at all the clinger he has....unfounded
-he refused to interview because he is dumb-no
-he is a quitter-no (I wish he would have played, if he was my son I would ask him to play...but damn, let bygones be bygones)
The default to an emotional reaction is a Louisiana trait.

Says a retard. I think you are the aborted one they are discussing in the Trump OT thread.

Tracy’s not an NFL kicker, that’s considered taking shots at him?

I have never said anything close to a suggestion that I wanted Wade to fail?
My Wade posts were directed at the big talk, mostly by posters who were talking about letting their wives boff Wade, naming their kids Will Wade, etc. Because, then as in now, he has never coached the Tigers in a tournament game of any kind. Until he does, it still is a bunch of big talk that may or may not be shown to be true (and I hope the big talk is ultimately shown to be true).
ETA: I will be pissed if Wade has to leave. It will be a huge waste and will set LSU basketball back.

Nobody hoped he would bomb. We predicted he would.
His selfish decision caused LSU to have to play WRs at CB against a productive passing team. He was a Me-First kid.

Lsu basketball managed to survive the worst coach in its history just a few short years ago, a coach that had 4 NBA players in his starting 5 (Hornsby, Simmons, Quarterman, Blakeney) and couldn't get to the tournament. LSU basketball will survive this.

It’s a generation raised on reality shows instead of playing sports. People are more interested in, in order: 1) firing and hiring 2) winning at all cost 3) watching/playing the games.

Nobody hates LSU more than LSU fans.

depends on the tone of the statement .... your statement, for example, would not be a shot

Just reflects your values I guess.
Miles is a model citizen, never been arrested, a drunk or anything like that. Doesn't go around trying to fight people. I guess that's what you like in people.

It's a coonass thing. Hot blooded Acadians. It's the yin and the yang of LSU athletics and Louisiana politics.

Miles was one of the greatest ambassadors LSU ever had.
You are a pathetic fan and a miserable human being.

Like how JJ did? Luckily we made a home run hire who was able to do a complete 360 in a short amount of time.

Must be. The pure anger here is unprecedented.
