We have been getting players for some time now who are very versatile and can play multiple positions. I like the idea of it because it allows you to create depth at key positions by having one player who can fill in or move to several spots if they need to because of injury or whatever.

Taysom Hill
--QB, Special Teams, RB

Chauncey Gardner-Johnson
--Slot, S, maybe outside CB, Special Teams

Andrus Peat
--Guard and Tackle

Nick Easton, Erik McCoy, and Will Clapp
--Guard and Center

Alvin Kamara
--RB and WR--sure, this isn't exactly a "trend," but I could not post something about versatile players without including this guy.

Kaden Elliss
-not a lock to make the team, but can be used at DE, LB, TE, Special Teams--pretty much anywhere haha. People are calling him the Taysom hill of the defense.

UDFA
--These guys might not make the team, but it at least shows/re-iterates the recent trend

Darnell Holland
--Rb, Slot receiver
--According to a CBS article, teams that brought Holland in for workouts (Saints and Texans) told him they viewed him as a slot receiver.

Ethan Greenidge
--Used all over offensive line at Villanova

Kind of the Patriots model of operation. It is only smart to have as versatile players as possible with roster limits so low.
