I know, I was hoping against hope...

Would have been a waste of a pick withthe Cook signing

Not like Cook is the long term answer

Not like we can’t find a better TE in this draft a year or two from now. Bigger needs to fill

Were not really thinking long term bubs. All in. Championship or bust

Saints fans wanted a local boy from New Orleans but The Saints could care less.

Renfrow gone too to the Raiders

Saints know what they’re doing. Fans are usually always wrong
Posted on 4/27/19 at 1:17 pm to Cycledude
Because they’re trying to win championships, not build an LSU all star team.

Mayock trying so hard to draft who he thinks Bill would like.

Good, because it doesn’t matter what saints fans want. They are a championship caliber team, I trust them over Saints fans over-valuing someone because they are from here.

this is the REAL reason he is so wanted by some fans...
in reality, he's very physically limited, and won't amount to much in the NFL.... love the dude b/c he played at LSU and played the right way, but he's just not going to be a great pro... glad we didn't waste a pick on him...

He's primarily a blocking TE, not what most teams look for. The Saints use blocking TE's alot but they already have a few. The saints need options to throw the ball to. He can catch but isn't a threat like everybody wants.

Combine would say otherwise

no, at the Combine he was an athletic freak... on the football field, after watching him EVERY WEEKEND for LSU, you can see he's not really fast, he's stiff and rigid in his routes, and he doesn't have the ability to get separation from secondary defenders...
on the field, where it REALLY counts, he's not a great athlete because he's limited physically... too bad there isn't a 40 yard dash or a benchpress during games, he'd be of value then, but unfortunately, that doesn't happen during games...

I love how LSU fans don’t want a coach just because he’s from around here...
But they want the Saints to pick a player, because he’s from around here.
All that being said, Moreau has a chance to be a long time player in the NFL in a Josh Hill type role.

He was used as an inline blocker the majority of the time. He did fine when he actually ran routes and was hella open sometimes and Burrow or Etling missed him. LSU just sucks at utilizing TEs
ETA: He's best as a big target over the middle with above average ball skills.
