Wirelessly Connect Surround Sound Receiver to TV

I am buying a house that has surround sound speakers built into the walls with in-wall wiring to where the current owner has his TV. However, I would like to place my TV at a different part of the room. Is there a way that my surround sound receiver could be placed where the current TV is (where the wires for the speakers are) and have my TV placed on another side of the room? I would rather not have to re-direct the wires to a new location in the room if I do not have too.

Your best bet is to run an HDMI or cat5/6 from the receiver to the new TV location.
My question is what does moving the TV's location do to your speakers placement?

I think some TV's can do it through bluetooth? Im not 100% sure, otherwise running hdmi is your best bet.
Have you thought about this? Could be a big issue.

The speakers are built into the ceiling overhead equidistant throughout the room. Would just be moving the TV from one side of the room to the other.

Moving the TV is definitely gonna eff up the surround field.
I'm not familiar with a receiver delivering a signal to a TV via bluetooth or wifi. You'd need some seriously fast wifi or bluetooth to relay the signal with no glitches or delays.
That being said, just run a long HDMI cable along the baseboard and then up to the TV. There's ways to conceal it up the wall, and you're gonna have a power cord for the tv anyway, so what's one more?

I agree moving the tv is going to make the surround sound strange. The center channel should be where the tv is.
If you must there are wireless HDMI solutions. My dad has one (don’t know what one) and it works but it has dropouts sometimes if something gets in the way of the single. May be a older model and newer are better
If you must, some to look at.
Another option other than HDMI is running a network cable (I would get the neeest flavor) and run hdmi over that with HDBase-T transmitter/reciever. Monoprice (link above) has some affordable options as well.
