So 200+ colleges, times 15 years (travel ball sydrome) is roughly 3000.

Only one other example out of 3000?

That's why I think it's not as normal as I'm being told.

It’s an issue across the board in college and pro baseball. Nobody knows what the underlying cause is. It could be travel ball it could also be that more pitchers are throwing harder than ever before. It could also be that it’s just more in the forefront now. Throwing a baseball is about the most unnatural thing to do to a persons body and it puts a lot of torque on a lot of places that can’t handle it.

In the case for Henry it seems he will be back next week. In that case he is basically just missing a start. That happened over the course of a major league season all the time with pitchers. It’s not very noticeable during a 162 game season but it is during a 30 game sec season. Just like Watson and Reid missing a weekend. In the majors it’s not noticeable for a player to miss three games but it is here.

Here's what I don't think many people understand. LSU has one of the largest media followings of any college baseball programs. Outside of the SEC and a few schools here and there, college baseball is a non-factor in the athletics department. CPM gives his report of hurt players every week because the media is asking him about it, and we care about who will play and who won't.

Other programs don't do that.

Not only do their fans not really care, but this is not mandatory like it is in professional sports. I have a buddy of mine who works for another SEC baseball team and he told us that they were game planning around a certain pitcher for that week, until CPM told the media he would be out. Then they were able to rewrite the script. He told me that they took advantage of the fact that LSU actually reports this news while others do not.

All this to say, people aren't giving you a detailed list because it literally does not exist. Other programs do not report all of their injuries to the media, and therefore there is no database with this information readily available.

But, you'll probably think of another dumbarse response to this and keep on trollin' the board.
