I thought this was sop?
I throw it in neutral every time I'm coming to a stop. I make a lot of turns in neutral once I have a feel for what gear to throw it back into as I come out of the turn. And of course you should be able to shift easily without the clutch once you get a feel for it.

Riding the clutch or wearing your left leg out should not be a problem once you realize the clutch is only really NEEDED for taking off.

Not a fan of either of these.

Don't really like this as a sop for driving a manual either.

ETA: Why would you want to turn without having power going to the drive wheels? What does that accomplish for you? Seems unnecessary and unsafe.

I do the same coming to a stop but I leave it in gear for turns

I mean how often are you actually taking turns where power isnt needed, unless its entering a parking lot?

Going through a turn without the transmission in gear gives up a potentially important amount of car control.
