City of Heroes Returns!!! (not a trick)

For any thinking about playing here, I am on the Indomitable server, character name: Magnificent. I've already created a SG for my friends from various games.

Last night (05/04/19) the Devs announced that they hit a new server record of 6,100 people ingame at one time! This is spread across 4 servers and two were maxxed out (@ 2,150 players)! Indomitable was one of the two that wasn't maxxed, but not sure how long that will last at this rate (max possible population at this point is 8k at any one time).
Last night (05/07/2019) they added a fifth server: Halcyon. They've also implemented a way to transfer your character to another server (still buggy). They also announced that they are accepting donations for expenses and would be closing the ability to donate once those expenses were met. It didn't take long (only 20 minutes!).
Yesterday (05/08/2019) it was announced they are moving their servers this weekend from Netherlands to Canada. Although I only experienced latency issues during extremely high usage periods, it should still be so marginal benefit to NA players.
Also, apparently 4chan has their own server. Don't play here if you are easily offended.

Edt: I spent over 10K to Korean Influence and Infamy farmers in that game over the years. I'll give my first born up just to get back into that world.

I can neither confirm nor deny I was briefly part of a secret CoH server. Hypothetically speaking, if I was it was a full copy of not only the game (with all your old characters) but the upcoming releases like the new AT that would have been introduced in a few months if CoH had continued. Sadly that server went under, or, I should say, it would have gone under if it existed and I was a member of it. Which I obviously was not.

What this really means is that a fan-run server can happen again and NCSoft may be fine with it.

Did a quick test install on a laptop and it fired up without issue.
Setting up a server now. Want to get that out the way while support is still available. Once that happens then CoH can never be taken away from us again. Will post a link once I have my game databases up.

Apparently the folks running COH: Reborn - Pleiades have shut down their server over internal disagreements. Meanwhile the Homecoming cluster is still going ridiculously strong (at 7:30am Centrel time all 5 servers are running with 1,506 heroes and 368 villains playing in 970 map instances).
Anyone that played and missed the game when it shut down or always wanted to play but never got the chance, this is your time!
