First of all, congrats!

I am a graduate student at WVU.. graduate in 2 weeks. Did my undergrad here too. Have a lot of friends in med school or that have worked at Ruby, etc. A lot of posters have mentioned the change the town has seen and I can attest to that.

The town continues to build new commercial/mixed use buildings and I think there has been a real emphasis on changing the image of the town and the school.

High St. is the place to go for the clubs/bars if you're into that.

There are a ton of outdoor activities in Morgantown and surrounding areas. Coopers Rock State Forest is a popular spot right outside of town for students and visitors. Morgantown is within driving distance to several major cities so it really isn't THAT isolated.

You will learn to love Morgantown in the summer when students are gone. During the school year traffic can be a pain, but whenever students leave it is great. Definitely go to the football/basketball games too. The Blue Lot opens at 7 am every game day. They actually close the hospital parking lot for tailgating, but they are building a new parking garage across from the stadium for hospital employees.

The people are nice. Big 12 fans have raved about their experiences here. Just be ready for some moonshine and pepperoni rolls

I know I have kind of just said what everyone else has already, but If you have any specific questions feel free to ask!
