Not true. Even at its worst there were still at least a couple other farmers, but it’s definitely waaaay more than just one now.

Most of the flavor comes from the fermenting process. I won’t say ALL of it, but definitely most.

I used to know a guy who's uncle was a grower in St. James Parish. He said the same, that most of the unique flavor came from the handling or fermenting of the product and not any unique soil or strain of tobacco.
