Anyone Have Problems With NBA 2k19 On XBox?

My nephew called me and is having problems with NBA 2k19 on XBox. It's not uploading for him. He called to ask if I could think of anything, but I don't have an XBox.
If anyone had this problem or can tell me something helpful based on the limited info I provided, I would appreciate it.

tell him the game doesnt work any better once it loads and that he should return it for another game.
if he is hell bent on playing though tell him to blow the disc.

I told him this just to get a laugh because he is way too young to get it. He said it didn't work.
