I honestly think kennedi has lost some of her heart for gym. She doesn’t even look that excited to be out there sometimes. It’s kinda sad for her.

Really?

It was a great gut check for Kennedi to get out and compete on beam and floor because her team needed her. The meet was till in the balance and she gave it all she had. Why can't some of you appreciate the great athletes we have instead of trying to find the negatives that you know nothing about.

There is a lot of pressure on that young lady to lead this team along with Ruby and neither one has the fiery personality of the previous senior leaders. Trust me when she showed up last night it spoke volumes to the young team.

All but 4 or 5 coaches would love to have DD and Jay's problems right now. They were missing the equivalent of 6 starters out of 24 and two others were limited with injuries and they still came close to defeating the healthy # 7 team in the country. That was an incredible effort to pick themselves off the mat after vault and force BAMA to get some great closing beam scores. This team will be a force when all the injuries are healed and the freshman have another month of competition.

I swear, I have never seen any other sport where fans hold each other to this kind of standard when talking about athletic performance. We shouldn't have to soften *constructive* criticism by also making sure to applaud what they did well, they are competitors. Judges don't care if a gymnast is "giving it all she has," they score the routine they see in front of them (theoretically at least lol). She is the most decorated member of this team and she is objectively underperforming based on what we know she can do. Pointing that out is not a personal attack, and it's not nitpicking or "focusing only on the negatives" considering the impact it has had over the first month of the season.

It was good to watch them fight for it even after basically losing the meet in the first rotation. It's still early, I certainly don't think this spells doom for the rest of the season, but they can't bounce back if they don't address what they did wrong.
