Earl Gros at FB

My memory that far back is sketchy, but was is Earl Gros or Charley Cranford that used to be in on the goalline push, that would vault over the line into the endzone?

No love for 1987? We were a mistakenly watered field and a Hodson injury before Bama away from a National Championship game against Miami.

My memory is a little suspect, but both of those players were tough as nails. I seem to recall that Gros would hit the line full speed and push ahead while Cranford may have had more leaping ability. It could be vice versa though.
