I’ve actually read a pretty good theory on Jamie forging lightbringer in his redemption arc. If anyone other than Jon is the final hero, I want it to be him. He goes from the ultimate piece of shite to the man who sacrifices it all family, riches, and love to be a true hero. He also gets his pages filled out in the book of the kingsgard that were empty of accomplishment.
He starts by confessing to Brienne in the bath at Harrenhal. Tempting in water and his persona shatters as he returns as the kinglsayer. He then releases Tyrion who shoots and kills his father. Tempting to shed his Kingslayer persona again with the heart of the lion. His final act of shedding his kingslayer persona is putting his blade through the heart of his love fulfilling the Valonquar prophecy and azor ahai all at once.
