How'd they overpay?
They have the money. And could they have gotten another coach of Jimbo's caliber?
You could argue based on money available and caliber of coach that we overpaid for our guy more than they did for theirs.

I really don’t get this mentality either. But it’s the years that is “above the norm” and the fact that it’s 100% guaranteed. It’s risky I guess if he flames out but if they signed him to the type of deal LSU offered Herman and he did well, they’d just be paying him the same amount basically anyway
