Let’s start with letting the NCAA participate at the last minute in the meeting that was originally scheduled with just WW, Alleva, and King.
Why does that matter? LSU has to comply with the NCAA. It's a requirement. As stupid as the NCAA is, LSU has to do what they say. Alleva expressed confidence in WW to have NCAA join the meeting. WW turned it down. Which is a terrible look on WILL WADE.

You can very easily tell the NCAA you will be transparent and cooperate with any investigation but that you want to have a man to man meeting with your coach without outside parties and then go from there. That’s the professional and respectful thing to do. Not schedule that meeting then cancel it at the last minute so you can invite the world to what should be an initial conversation between employer and employee. You’re still free to request subsequent meetings.

Why does that matter?
It is simply shocking that anyone at this stage could be so seriously dense as to ask "Why does that matter?"

It's water under the bridge at this point, but here's an idea that could have eliminated all this uncertainty.
King and Aleva could have had their meeting with Wade privately and unannounced to the public.
Publicly they could have called another meeting with the NCAA involved.
Wade could have turned down the latter meeting due to advice from his lawyer, and King and Aleva would have already had the information they needed to retain or let Wade go.
Much better scenario than this shite show they had going on for the past month.
