What's even more frightening to ME is the level of indoctrination that says that "people with PhD's" have all the answers.....
We need more people with REAL WORLD experience to be working along side the "elites" making decisions that affect the country.
While I DESPISE her and think she's an idiot, the CONCEPT of a bartender becoming a Congressman is actually very appealing, but in the case of AOC, well....

That’s all fine and we’ll, and I absolutely agree that politics should be a service position for individuals of a huge range of economic and professional backgrounds. My point was simply meant to be that, when it comes to those politicians staffing their advisor structure, having atnleast some sunset of PhDs on board is an essential decision for any successful politicians. Which is precisely why every political organization has them.
I agree that PhDs do not have all the answers, not even close to it. No one does. But when it comes to setting economic policy, I sure as shite want someone in the room who can estimate the impact of a tax cut through a dynamic stochastic general equilibrium model. So while we absolutely can’t embrace some misguided notion that a PhD fill fix all that ails the world, let’s also not slip towards the fundamently incorrect assertion that they are all useless. Both are wrong, and both are dangerous
