Board of Regents has NO role in the management or administration of the state’s universities. And they definitely have nothing to do with athletics. Overall they are a very pointless and bureaucratic agency/board. But they would have no say so or part in all of this.
Is it possible that someone like Collis Temple III, who coincidentally serves on the BOR, was in the meeting? Sure. But it would be because of his LSU basketball connections more than because of being on BOR.

Seriously, what do they do? Looking at the website, it appears some research data and like try get involved in the Legislature?
