Because if this was their play to fire him with cause, there is literally millions of dollars on the line. I'm not going to a meeting like that without all the resources at my disposal

...then Wade's attorney played right into their hands telling his client not to go to the meeting, thus giving thee AD cause to fire him. That they didn't fire him, but merely suspended him, shows that they likely DON'T want to fire him, with or without cause.

That puts you MORE at risk of losing the millions of dollars, not less.
Can you tell me what would be wrong with Wade just showing up to the meeting with the NCAA and saying:

How could he possible have risked his millions more by doing that than not showing up at all?
