You realize this is ignorant and there are other options right?

For one, there's tons of players that get into better schools than they should have through sports or other extracurricular activities. The coaches can also usually assist with getting more scholarships.

Even if your kid isn't going to be a future pro player, there are still many advantages to playing a sport in college.

and some downfalls, particularly if you are more or less practice fodder, it's a huge commitment in time, blood, sweat, and tears
