re: Letting family stay with you

I can get where you are coming from, but after Katrina I was on the other side. We stayed with my step-dads brother for a bout 2 weeks and out of the blue were told we had overstayed our welcome...had nowhere to go. Nothing was around to rent so my parents literally had to buy a house and the same day put it up for sale so we would have a place where they had found work.

Then when they got their old jobs back in swing in Nola, we stayed with my grandmother who was also housing 2 other relatives and at no point made us feel unwlemcomed. Stayed with her for months while re-building. That showed who real family was.
