re: Tickets are given for no seatbelt, so why not when a biker doesn’t wear a helmet?

And that is the problem. If it can be proven that you didn't wear a seat belt, insurance should not be required to pay for your extra expenses for injuries. Maybe it is that way...idk. Since it's a law, then insurance should be able to pay more or less based on wearing a seat belt. If you're found to not be wearing a seat belt, then they should jack your rates up and not everyone else.

Yeah it’s bullshite. I got in an accident years ago that was determined to be my fault and the other guy wasn’t wearing his seatbelt and had minor injuries bc he wasn’t wearing his seatbelt. Of course my insurance had to pay for all of his injuries which is BS since if he wasn’t breaking the law by not wearing a seatbelt he’d be fine.
