I guess it depends where you are fishing. I fish a handful of different bodies of water. I may consider one bass an hour a decent trip in one place, but not so good of a trip in another place. A few weeks ago, I went fishing with two buddies and we caught 4 bass total. I didn't consider that a terrible trip considering where we were fishing. Last weekend I brought another buddy to a different location and we caught 9 total. I considered that an average day in that particular location. I guess my point is, one bass an hour being good should be based mostly on your past experiences fishing that particular location.
