1.) We no longer see ideas as ideas, or speech as speech. Ideas are oppression, speech is violence. The left created this.

3.) We created an environment where political ideas aren't just wrong, they are evil. They can't be debated, they must be crushed without any discourse. The right did this.

4.) When dealing with strangers and opponents in conversation, we have taken to attributing the worst possible meaning to any ambiguous statement. It used to be the norm to give the best or safest meaning, but that all changed. . .making rational discourse on any contentious topic impossible.

5.) If they disagree with you, they are a Nazi, Commie, White Supremacist, SJW, racist, whatevs

4 & 5 were done by both sides, equally.

Without discourse, all that is left is violence. This needs to be fixed.
