That the real cause of the violence against a group is the group themeselves. That's the same justification the the Muslims often use when a terrorist attacks Christians, Jews, or even Muslims of a different ideology (Shia v. Sunni).

And it's not like terrorism, or even violence and crime in general, is prevelant in New Zealand. There are such few incidents More people may have died in that attack than all other attacks combined.

Of the 6 other notable incidents listed on Wikipedia, I count only 3 (a suicide bombing in 1984; the French attack on a Greenpeace shut in 1985) including one where only the perpetrator died (Anarchist in 1982).
