That's not necessarily true. If an employee of mine is being accused of doing something illegal on the job then I would want to talk to him for sure.

If he looks me in the eye and says he didn't do anything wrong and that I don't have anything to worry about then that may be good enough for me if the guy hasn't been shady before.

LSU admin was fine with ignorance until recently. I don't fault them for demanding their employee answer basic questions but I do fault them for waiting this long to ask.
