Not really a car but, I was way back in the woods on my four wheeler. A nut came off of the steering suspension, making one wheel go toward 12 o'clock and the other, about 2:15. I put the rod back in the hole, then wrapped a ratchet strap around it, tightening it up to hold the assembly together.
It did not ride perfectly but it was good enough to get me out of the woods.

Had a VW Bug and as usual the floor below the battery rotted out. I cut out the rotted floor and enough that a roasting pan to be welded to the edges. I can't take credit for coming up with that but it worked like a charm.
Had the electric motors fans, that cool the radiator, stop working (not the VW). I gave a few good wacks with a hammer and they started working. Same goes for the motors for the windows.

One night I was on a first date with an OT 9.2. Maybe 9.3. We were really hitting it off and I was walking us back to our cars in the FQ when she couldn't hold her bladder any longer. Really squeezing in on that laser manicured box. We slipped into a gay bar for a quick squirt and a few beers and met some awesome people. Friends still, actually. When we finally made it to her car, wouldn't turn over. Seemed like a bad battery connection. I took out my Leatherman multi tool and asked her for her ParaGard copper IUD. After a minute or two of deep digging, she produced. Shined it up on my leather boots, positioned on the terminal and tightened down like a vise.

The switch for my headlights and turn signals broke off; not the entire lever but just the cap on the end that you twist and controls the headlights.
Inside of that that cap was like a small metal rod or something that Would send the signals down to control it.
So once that cap broke off I had no way to turn on my lights, and I didn’t have auto lights on at the time.
Took a cooking thermometer and broke the gauge off so it left only the rod remaining and put it in, boom.
To order the switch online or at auto zone, would’ve been around $300. Fixed it for $2 lol

Was miles from anywhere when I lost my motorcycle key. Honda 450, I smoked at that time. So I used the silver paper from my cigarette pack to cross 3 poles on the ignition switch. Was able to drive home, having to stop 3 times to reattach the siver paper.
