Why can't the wife find any hobbies or do something else that makes her happy instead of expecting the male to do everything for her?
as an accused misogynist, i'll defend women here
many times she doesn't have time b/c she gets burdened with all of the housework and dealing with kids
the OP (and most comments) seem to discuss a situation where the man earns/works a lot more, which means the wife will have disproportionate house work. this will, in turn, decrease sex and that kills passion. once it's a boring routine without passion (and the sense of being desired), hens will cluck
most of the stories posted could have been avoided had the man been more aware of the situation. it may not have fixed it, but at the least, the exit strategy could have been much more rational and controlled.

quote:I do agree with this. There is usually blame on both sides that causes divorces to happen. Us men are sometimes out of touch with what is going on (I know I was) but I will say that women aren't happy just being happy. After they split, they almost always regret their decision and realize what they had. They also start the cycle of relationships that will end just like their first one did. Communication is definitely the key to help alleviate a multitude of problems but it won't fix them all.

quote:Why can't the woman get a better job? Why does she have to limit herself to a low paying job? Why can't the kids do any cleaning? I know when I got 7 or 8 and older, I had to clean up and stuff. I just don't get why the woman has to have the lower paying job and has to do all the work?

In fact, staying at home to watch the kids and clean up the house is easy as frick. Way easier than working a real job sweating your arse off in the summer and freezing in the winter.
