I never was a big Star Wars fan so all I was wanting was to have 2 hours filled.

I figured JarJar was some kid thing I wasn't supposed to get.

I was in denial about it for a long time. I remember saying things like “well, it’s just setting everything up, it will be great when the full trilogy is out”

Worst low-lights

1. The underwater adventure and city, especially so early in the movie, not very "Star Wars" at all.

2. The pod racing subplot that took like 1/3 of the whole movie. They seriously couldn't find anything more interesting for them to do for an hour?

3. Constant stupid stuff like Yippie, Roger Roger, Jar Jar poop and fart jokes and constant all around general stupidity. In case you ever lost yourself in the movie there was going to be a cringe inducing moment to crash you back.

4. The final space battle with ignorant Annie accidentally winning.

You clean up all that god awful non-sense and it would be orders of magnitude better.

The lone highlight:

The final light saber battle with Darth Maul vs. Quigon and Obiwan. Quigon dying during it, and dual of the fates playing, very epic. It and the Anakin/Palpatine opera conversation are the best two moments in the entire prequel trilogy.
