What's worse with this stupid narrative is that the player in question is a local boy.

Must be so hard to recruit a local kid to play here at his school that we have to buy him off.

Again, when you are bringing in top 10 classes in bball, you have to sometimes sell the local star that is lower than a few other guys on coming in and guaranteeing he'll get his share of minutes. This is all getting ridiculous.

Furthermore, they are using some secondary quote that may or may not even be linked to the same topic by stating "believed to by Smart", when he could be simply talking about hearing the offer another kid is getting from somewhere else.

Marcus wants so bad to be looked at as a legit journalist.

I know much shittier players in his recruiting class that were getting bucks, so no doubt he was too.

Roy Williams went 19-11 overall 8-8 in conference his first year at UNC in 2003-04.

The next year he finished 33-4 overall, 14-2 in conference.

Went 5 straight years with single digit losses. In 09-10 his team finished 20-17 overall and 5-11 in conference. The following year, 2010-11 his team finishes 29-8 overall, 14-2 in conference

Will Wade's first year at LSU he finished 18-15, 8-10 in conference. His 2nd year he is 24-5 overall, 14-2 in conference play.

I remember when Roy Williams left Kansas to go to UNC. That first year everyone was saying "he is going to get the program going in the right direction".

Wade didn't have the experience Williams had but he had two good teams in two years at VCU and Shocka Smart should thank Will Wade.. Because he played a big role in VCU's success under Smart, who then gets hired by Texas, where he is an average coach.

Will Wade is a good coach. I am not a LSU fan who just says that just because he is LSU's coach. He really is a very good coach.
