I know there are a few of you on the board now, and there will be many more before August 30th. Just wanted to say...
If you have the means, come to the game. Not to sound arrogant or too proud, but in my humble opinion there are very few sports experiences that compare to an LSU home game. I recommend getting to the campus early so you can wander around, see the sights and feast on some of the best food you'll ever encounter anywhere. It really is a spectacle. I invite y'all to come be a part of it. Even the Auburn fans tailgating next to us last year told us, AFTER the game, that it was the most fun at a college football game they had ever had.
See you in August.

But check your attitude at the door...ya gotta have thick skin or you'll either end up covered in urine or get your arse kicked.

Thank you Plummer.
We are mostly humble and happy LSU scheduled APP.
I was there in 2005. It was great. I am bringing 2 friends from Philly with me to experience the the food, drink, females, and the FOOTBALL.
PLEASE dont take our PRIDE for being cocky. WE are very proud of the FOOTBALL TEAM. The coaches and team are hardworking, competitive, and smart. I also am very PROUD of the teams Faith in GOD. After every game the players and coaches volunteer to pray and thank GOD in the center of the field. Before the championship game players from both teams were invited to pray and every player from APP was there, including some non-Christians. There were only a few Delaware players there. Its a part of our coach and team.
I haven't met a APP fan that didn't like LSU. Lets have fun and see what the players do on the field.

I sincerely appreciate the warm invitation. As I have stated here on many posts, I WILL be down there and very much look forward to the entire weekend. Look to spend the better part of the day on Sat. at the campus and hope to meet up with some of you guys and have some laughs. It doesn't get a lot better than cold beer, good food, exciting football and friendly trash talk. We are getting down to about 100 or so days....they sure are passing slowly...
Take care and
GO APPS!!!

Ill be there, hopefully it will be as much fun as going to Ann Arbor! Our fraternity has a chapter there though so we had someone to give shite too guilt free/protect us at their party after the game.
Don't believe we have a chapter at LSU but it will be a great experience none the less!

It is going to be one of the most awesome experiences you have ever had. It's hard to explain, but you WILL say that TS makes the Big House seem like a LITTLE House.

No contest. You will be entering the tailgating Mecca come August. Get a good night's rest on Friday night, bring a couple extra shirts for Saturday and definitely come with a good attitude. You'll catch plenty of ribbing but you will also get invited to eat and drink at most every party you pass. If you're in Touchdown Village II stop by spot 307. Those that are coming down, have a safe trip.

I am an LSU fan first, but an Appy fan because my son is a student there. He was in the drum line for three years. I can't seem to find a good Appy Football message board...got any links? I can smack talk in both directions

Got my tickets in the mail yesterday. Looks like we are in the upper deck "corner". Are there "bad" seats in the stadium? Looking forward to the game!

Would have been nice for it to have been a night game. The experience is just more intense after dark. I know in '05 it was a night game, but the hype for the game wasn't there like it is for this one. One thing I remember about that '05 game was the presentation of $20,000 (I think was the amount) for hurricane relief from ASU. Will never forget that classy thing to do. Also remember that even though we won 24-0 that App St. was fighting tooth and nail from start to finish. You could tell they were a special team. It shows since they went on to the first of 3 in a row championships.

Once you're up there it will be fine. But getting up there can be a chore. You need to leave your tailgate area early enough to get in your seats before the pregame starts. I have friends who sit in the East Upper, right next to where the visitors sit, and sometimes I give up my SET to let a friend of my dad go and I go sit in the EU. It can get real congested trying to get up there. You have been forewarned.
