It is low but not that low. It's low enough to read while I'm on plane but I'd bet real money it's not dragging. I think the turbulence from the motor is creating havoc with it but that's a guess.

Tell me about it. The Customer Service Rep at Bass Pro is calling Nitro today. I'll update as it progresses bc I'm certain I'm not the only one that's having a problem.

Whatd they say? If it didnt rip the gel coat off it probably wasnt cured or wasnt applied in the right conditions. You shouldnt need it though just screws should hold it fine. There must be a void in the transom you're screwing into or somethint.

How far below the bottom of the boat does the transducer stick and how fast do you go?
