The Military Industrial Complex is 600B or 14% of the Total Federal Expenditure.
65% of the Entire Federal Budget is Social Spending, including Social Security, Medicare, and Welfare.
Just think about how much lower all of our taxes would be if people could learn to be responsible for their own lives.
Never mind...
I forgot the Principle that Mittens Romney stated that since 47% of Americans don't pay Federal Income Tax, they don't care if the rest of us do!
Those 47% will never care about personal responsibility when they can just vote for the rest of us to pay for their mistakes in life!

Two of the three which are currently being paid for. The current deficit / debt doesn't even consider how f'd we will be when that is no longer the case.
We aren't going to cut Social Security and Medicare spending and redirect FICA tax dollars to the general fund.
Yes, welfare spending needs to be cut - by a lot.
