Hey jackass, you do realize that the government has zero money of its own, right?
Not true, Government prints their money. We've been in deficit spending territory for quite a while, with mandated spending exponentially increasing in the near future.
And that comes in without factoring in the unemployment effects of Robotics/AI.
There is zero chance that the Collective Society Economy remains viable, outside of Government distribution of available basic life resources. How that manifests, or what it is labeled (Democratic Socialism, pseudo-Capitalism, etc.) is really irrelevant re real life effects. The idea that the many live on the fringe, while they (via high tech social media) view the few jetting around on opulent vacations is a dog that won't long hunt. There will be a 'French Revolution'.
Some Leader had better step up and offer realistic assessments and solutions. And they had better be morally acceptable, definable, and persuasive across the Class spectrum.
"Where there is no vision, my people die". That, is the alternative.
