Marrero’s Daiwa Sushi Bar & Japanese Cusine will be opening an east bank location when they take over the 2nd-floor space at 4100 Veterans Blvd. This is the space that was previously home to World of Beer.
A Daiwa representative told Around Metairie that they are “in the final phases of renovation, putting up fixtures, and equipment” with an opening planned for April.

They’ll do well there. I’m assuming they’ll put in the karaoke rooms like they have in Marrero. That makes for a fun get-together activity.

A ton of people complain that supposedly even if you order correctly and the kitchen sends you the wrong thing, management berates you about paying for the wrong dish that was sent to you so the waitress or restaurant doesn’t have to eat the cost.
