Once you start giving people free shite it’s almost impossible to maintain it or end it. End result is exactly what’s happening in Venezuela.

Huge oil reserve was found under Dictator 1’s regieme, and China was happy to give lots of loans with the oil as collateral.
So D1 set about funding all types of generous social welfare plans until he dies, when his 2nd in charge (D2) is crowned king.
The oil loan money starts drying up under D2 and tbe economy starts wo wobble. Cuba tries to help and China gives a little more lian money, but it’s too late.
China decides that it’s time for Venezuela to pay up and things spirsl out of control for D2.
D2 wins a rigged election.
