You don't do jokes or sarcasm very well.
It's too hard for me to tell what's a joke and what's not on this board. The whole thing comes off as a joke most days.

Is it just me, but what does changing the fuel economy standards have to do with traffic fatalities?
Climate change.
It kills millions every year.

I’m enjoying him dragging his nuts across California’s face

Hooray for the Interstate Commerce clause!
So much for States' Rights.
Regulating commerce is actually a constitutional function of fedgov so states rights don’t apply here

Would be nice if Our President worked with all Americans, not just his supporters/voters.

quote:Mama BFIV bought a used car about 5 years ago that originated in California. The emission control system and sensors on that thing were ridiculous. I don't know about the newer vehicles, but that thing had 5 oxygen sensors where the non California vehicle of the same make and year had 2 oxygen sensors. It was a PITA and expensive endeavor to replace them. She got rid of it, thank goodness.
New standards would raise the cost of vehicles and people would opt to stay in older, less safe vehicles.
