This thread and the thread on the OT about Mexican cartels have firmly persuaded me NOT to take the family vacation to Cabo this summer.
I need other options. Probably the BVIs.

Don't go to Mazanilla/Ixtapa though. That place is nice, but it's in the middle of cartel country.

USVIs are nice as well. Would wager snorkel and diving is better. Can get a few lobsters for the grill pretty easily.
Have to go out about 20 miles for good deep water fishing.
