Again, what difference does it make if you've already found a way to make your own money here? It would make sense if you were just starting out in life and you were trying to maximize your opportunities. You can make money anywhere if you make the right moves.

For the average person that does average things, I agree. An average place like Texas is great for that. You'll get no argument from me that Texas runs their shite right and has a great economy. I brag on it all the time and wish Louisiana would follow suit.

I just think Louisiana has more potential upside than Texas because of geography, resources, location and culture but it's ran by idiots.

You have to figure out a way to make Louisiana work for you. If you just want to be one of the sheep in the herd then go to Texas. They have exceptional pens for the herds.

It was in response to the comment that people in Dallas somehow have access to more or better high end restaurants than people on the NorthShore. The NorthShore is an hour from New Orleans. It goes without saying that New Orleans is world-renowned for its restaurants and food culture.

That's just not true. You are making very generalized statements. There are shity small towns in Texas and there's nice small towns in Texas. Same with Louisiana.

See above. Except that I limited my example cities to one Parish in Louisiana compare to cities all across East and Central Texas.
