Bigger is better but I run 27's with no problems.
I'm on my second set of these. First set got 4 years. This set is on year 3. I charged them before I put it up this fall and got my boat out of the barn last weekend. Plugged the charger in and they went from red to green in a couple of hours. Fished two days in a row and they seem to be doing their thing.
I think they were about $90 a piece including tax.
Btw OP, I also have a 70 lbs 24v Minn Kota.

I run 31. Sealed from ABC auto, $125. I just bought one as one of mine went down, it was five years old. I have a 3 bank charger and unless they are sealed it will cook your
