Yeah the other part is I don’t understand at all how this would benefit small markets more. The easiest solution to this “problem” is don’t sign dumb guaranteed contracts. I like that MLB and NBA really punish bad front offices for these deals. I don’t see how small market teams are predisposed to signing more bad deals.
