MLB4 Collegiate Tournament - Why no LSU?

Forgive me if this has been discussed somewhere, but I searched and did not find anything.
But I was flipping through channels before our game and saw Vanderbilt and Virginia is on the MLB Network. Announcers said the game is part of the inaugural MLB4 Collegiate Tournament. They described it as a collection of the premier programs in college baseball. The field consists of the aforementioned teams plus TCU and Cal State Fullerton. They will play a round robin format. LINK
My question is, if this is an inaugural event of the premier college baseball programs, why would you not want LSU in this tournament. Elite tradition, great fan support that will travel and watch on tv, plus they are ranked the #1/2 team in the country to start the year. Plus, LSU has as many national championships in its history as all 4 of these teams combined.
I'm not saying all 4 of these teams are not very good to elite programs, but none compare in history to LSU (Cal State comes the closest and is only reason the nat. championship number of all 4 is tied with LSU). And I don't feel slighted or anything. Just curious why MLB would not want LSU in this for the first year and why LSU wouldn't have wanted to play if offered.

Clearly, just like ESPN, MLB4 hates LSU

I’d rather LSU open up at home to be honest. LSU doesn’t need baseball brand recognition...

Real simple . LSU makes a lot more money off three homes games than any tournament . Only reason they play in the Houston one occasionally is to appease the large alumni base there

Yes, LSU should be featured in every tournament, no exceptions.
