In the 13 scrimmages I saw this spring, Garza had 35 at bats. He struck out 9 times and got 9 hits. He also walked 3 times.
A bigger concern of mine is Zach Watson. 27 at bats, 6 hits, 0 walks, and 8 strike outs.
Of interest to me was Garza mostly faced our weekend starters while Watson faced relievers.
I feel certain that Zach will find his groove at some point, hopefully before SEC play starts.

Zach Watson is going to strike out a lot. He led the team last year in strike outs. He is also going to hit the ball often and has power. If Garza can do the same then I can live with strike outs. There are plenty of contact hitters in this lineup to make up for one or two guys that will hit for a good average have some pop but strike out a lot. The problem is when you are batting 250 and striking out. Not when you are hitting 320 with 10+ bombs but strike out often.
