I watched the whole game last night… It is amazing how the lack of three point line made that game so much different than it is today. There was hardly any shooting outside of the paint. That had to be one of Dale Brown's best coached games

Rewatched both the games in this thread and few observations:

-Very disciplined offensive play.
-Not a single dunk in either game.
-40 second shot clock came into play only once or twice.
-No 3-point line created a completely different game.
-Either team in both games had 16-18 ft jumpers anytime they wanted but rarely took them.

-Officiating sucked just as bad back then

One thing I remembered besides how crazy with happiness I felt but the coaches on the side during their hand shakes. Does anyone know what Abernathy was conveying to the assistant coach for Kentucky. Abernathy was shaking his finger in the guys face and was being restrained. I have always wondered what that was all about. Anyone know?
