And to say that a 7 loss team is a lock and LSU isn't, is just dishonest and lazy analysis. It's a good thing their opinions don't count.

What does count is the NET ranking, and Purdue is 3 spots higher than us and Kentucky is 8 spots higher.

This whole thread is much ado about nothing. Obviously LSU is right on the edge of wherever ESPN’s line between “Lock” and “Should Be” is currently set.

"NET" is absolute garbage, if it has Purdue ahead of LSU. How often does that even update? LSU is smoking Kentucky in quad 1 and 2 wins, according to what someone else posted here. So either NET has not been updated, or it is an even worse system than I previously thought.

The fact of the matter is that LSU just went through a stretch that all of the pundits insisted LSU would be doing well to just win a game in. They won all three. So they are 20-4 and 10-1, and the toughest part of the schedule is now over. As far as making predictions are concerned (and that's what this is about) there can't be much more of a lock in the country than LSU.
