Mad? Why would I be mad? I love pointing out that Abe was a racist who didn’t give a shite about blacks.

It completely destroys his great emancipator title.

Does it make you mad to know that Abe was racist? That he wanted to send blacks back to Africa? That he always believed blacks were worse than whites?

How mad does it make you to know that Abe didn’t fight to free slaves?

The stupid liberals don’t know their history on Lincoln. He was absolutely a racist but his statue isn’t coming down for some odd reason.

Don't care. I'll always like Lincoln for making the south bend the knee and beg for mercy.

So why is it that the southern states started to secede just after Lincoln was elected and prior to his inauguration?

What was it about Abraham Lincoln that the southern states found so unacceptable?

Yours is a simplistic and skewed interpretation of Lincoln’s plan for colonization of slaves either back to Africa or elsewhere on a voluntary basis. Though the plan was not well received by a black delegation he met with, he felt it had merit. Given the lack of acceptance among blacks for the proposal, he adjusted and issued his EP, effectively adjusting course.

He was always an abolitionist and advocate against slavery, he just had a poor initial plan. That’s the nuance you intentionally eliminate to bend the narrative. Like much of the argument here, yours is advanced in a one-sided manner to support your position, which cannot be maintained if history is provided in full.
