Sadly he is white though. Assuming he at least meets minimum qualifications for ACT and GPA, how much will the soccer and piano help with admissions? Would he have to actually make the university soccer team for it to make a difference? And would he need to be in the music program for him to get credit for the piano?
I went through admissions last year with my daughter, who got two rejections but got offers from six or seven elite programs. A bit of advice. Drop the “woe is me” white crap. It’s bullshite.
First off, the kid has to want to compete at that level. You can’t push them hard enough to get them there. If they are a stone cold killer competitor, elite college may be for them. They have to take every AP class offered and work at least a year above grade level. Enter every academic competition. Win at state level and place at national level.
And then they have to do something for others. Volunteer, start a nonprofit. Tutor.
At my daughter’s dorm they have a freshman billionaire, a professional actress who we have seen in movies, and a couple of people who hold patents. National Merit Scholar doesn’t stand out.
At the level of Princeton, Harvard, Duke, U. Chicago, etc, they reject people with perfect ACT because they get more applicants with perfect scores than they have slots.
Get over your damn self and face the fact that the elite college admissions process is elite, extremely elite.

If you’re white, or Asian, it is.
If you’re a targeted minority, then it’s actually really easy. There aren’t enough qualified minorities and everyone is scrambling to hit their chosen quota.
The Med school entrance data is a beautiful example of that.
The acceptance rate for Asian applicants with an MCAT between 27 and 29 is 20%.
For a black applicant with the same score?
It’s 80%.
Drop out rates are also much higher for black applicants. But that’s a digression, and it’s the result of affirmative action, more than anything else.

That’s not what elite colleges are like. They aren’t academic murder houses where people compete to survive.
Once upon a time, they were very difficult, but that was 40 years ago, and back then they recruited from a very small group of highly educated elites, who could do that.
It’s not anywhere near that difficult now.
But even then, it wasn’t like that.

Your daughter must be adopted to be that smart since her diddy has a hard time with basic reading comprehension.
I don’t recall saying anything about applying to elite schools like NE Ivies. I had a basic question about admissions which would be applicable at any school. He’s 7 years out so who knows what and where he will want to go. Your entire post was an obvious “look-at-me-and-my-smart-daughter” troll. Typical lib too, start a charity so you can rub elbows with smug elites. Pathetic.
